Site Council
The purpose of the Site Council is to provide a forum where both parents and staff can participate in a shared decision making process concerning the operation of Deerwood Elementary School.
On an on-going basis, the council shall address issues or concerns that are brought to them or they become aware of through other communication channels. The council will act upon these issues or concerns or recommend an alternative source of resolution.
Annually, upon the election of new members, the council will establish a set of goals for the upcoming school year. The basis for this process will be the District 196 goals.
The following meetings are scheduled for the 2008-2009 school year. The Site Council meetings are held at Deerwood Elementary School from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. All meetings are open to the public.
