TITLE 1

Elaine Conn and Sue McCormick
Title One is a federally funded program whose purpose is to improve achievement in the basic skills of reading and math and help students succeed in the regular classroom. Diamond Path Title One teachers are certified teachers.
Students in grades one through five are eligible for the Title One program. Student selection is based on reading and math assessments and/or teacher recommendations. Students are re-evaluated at the beginning of each school year. They may be exited at any time during the year if teachers agree a child is achieving well enough to no longer need the extra support.
Parents are an important part of the Title One team and their involvement with their child’s education is a key to their success.
