ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNER
Diamond Path's diverse population is growing, and more students are expected to join the ESL program each year. The role of the ESL teacher is not to take a student's first language away, because that is an important part of who these students of different cultures are. Instead, the role of the ESL teacher is to help students to acquire English speaking, reading, and writing skills in order for them to have success in their regular school academics.
Each child in the ESL program comes with their own unique abilities and level of need. The goal of the ESL program is to help each child to reach their full potential.
