There are many things that happen before your child starts Kindergarten at Diamond Path.
Mid Novemeber 2009 - K+/School Choice information mailed to incoming Kindergarteners
Jan. 7, 2010, 6:30-8:30pm - K+/Choice Parent info. Night
This information night is held at Glacier Hills Elementary.
Jan. 12th and 13th, 10am and 6:30pm - Diamond Path School Tours
Jan. 22, 2010 - Magnet and K+ application deadline
March 3rd and 4th, 2010 - Registration at Diamond Path
When registering, a "Welcome to Kindergarten" Handbook and other forms will be given to parents.
April 26, 2010, 6:30pm - Kindergarten Round-Up
Parents and kindergarten students welcome to attend an information session at Diamond Path.
Aug. 2010 - Letters to Kindergarteners
The letter announces your child's teacher, which Kindergarten session they will attend. It also gives additional information regarding Parent Orientation, the First Day of School, and School Orientation.
The transportation department sends letters to all students/parents telling you your bus number, bus stop location, and bus stop pick-up and drop-off times.
Aug. 2010 - Student Survey
You will receive a letter or phone call from your teacher to arrange this.
Sept. 1, 2010 - Open House
Come meet your teacher and see your classroom! Visit the Diamond Path Specialists and Special Ed staff. Meet the principal. Visit the media center! Order school sportswear. Order a school directory. Meet your School Council members. Sign up for Diamond Path Pathways. Meet our volunteer coordinator. Meet the school nurse. Say hello to the office staff. And much more!
Sept. 7, 2010 Student/Parent Orientation
At orientation, students will meet their teacher. A.M. class 10:00 - 11:00, P.M. class 2:00 - 3:00, K+ classes 10:00-12:00.
students are accompanied by parents to tour the room and participate in classroom activities. K+ kids will have a “practice” lunch (no busses for kindergarten this day)
