GRADE FOUR
Fourth Graders participate in a wide variety of field trips throughout the year.
- Wolf Ridge
- Minnesota Historical Museum - We travel to the History Center in conjunction with our study of Minnesota. The students discover interesting and fun information about Minnesota's recent and distant past.
- Science Museum - Flint Hills Refinery sponsors a day at the Science Museum. The will view the movie in the Omni Theater.
- Earth Day at the Minnesota Zoo - During the week of Earth Day the fourth grade at Diamond Path Elementary takes a field trip to the Minnesota Zoo. There the students participate in activities revolving around the theme of Earth Day. These include many ecological and environmental events related to the theme. Some of them include recycling activities, tree planting, and challenges for an Ecologically Friendly Earth!
- Holland Jensen Park-Environmental Day - The students spend the day at the park doing a variety of outdoor activities using their academic skills. The students walk around the lake, recording animals, plants, and landforms. They also will use measurement skills to observe the environment. The students will be writing (descriptive or creatively) about a small area that they have been observing.
