GRADE ONE - Schedule
A typical day in first grade is as follows:
- 9:10 First bell, students enter the building
- 9:10-9:250 Attendance, Calendar activities, Sharing
- 9:25-11:50 Language Arts Block:
Writers' Workshop, Reading, Word Study, & Handwriting
Every fourth day an extra 25 minutes of Chinese or Chinese is in this block. - 11:55-12:20 Recess
- 12:25-12:55 Lunch (15-20 minutes)
- 12:50-1:00 Story
- 1:00-1:50 Math
- 1:50-2:30 Science, social Studies, Health or Guidance
- 2:40-3:30 Specialists are on a six day rotation:
Art, Music, Physical Education, Spanish or Chinese, Enrichment(Library, Technology, or Geography), and Cultures/Communication - 3:30-3:42 Get ready for dismissal.
