GRADE ONE - Schedule
A typical day in first grade is as follows:
- 9:10 First bell, students enter the building
- 9:25-9:45 Attendance, Calendar activities, Sharing
- 9:45-11:50 Language Arts Block:
Writers' Workshop, Reading, Word Study, & Handwriting
- 11:50-12:20 Recess
- 12:25-1:00 Lunch Rotation: Anderson, Sidla, Fahey, Towner, Hack
- 1:00-1:20 Story, Number Corner, Quiet Time
- 1:20-2:10 Math
- 2:10-2:40 Magnet units: Science, Social Studies, Health
- 2:40-3:30 Specialists are on a six day rotation:
Art, Music, Physical Education, Spanish or Chinese, Library - 3:30-3:42 Get ready for dismissal.
