CID - OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational therapists provide services to students with exceptional educational needs. They also provide educational staff consultative services when children require extra support to benefit from their special education programs. Occupational therapists work to improve, develop, restore, or maintain a student’s active participation in self-maintenance, work, leisure, play and sensory needs within the educational environment. School occupational therapists are a related service, meant to support the student’s individualized education plan.
