Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan Public Schools has a comprehensive program of Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services for children from birth through kindergarten entrance.
Our program includes:
All children who live in the Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan Public School district need to participate in an early childhood screening process before entering kindergarten. Typically screening is completed before a child’s fourth birthday.
Comprehensive evaluations are provided for children from birth to six years of age.
- Early Intervention
Early intervention services are provided for children ages birth through two who meet eligibility criteria. The services focus on working with families in their homes. Children in the program are either at risk for developmental delays, or have a delay or disability in one or more areas of development.
- Early Childhood Special Education
Three, four and five-year-old children with disabilities or developmental delays are served in a variety of settings.
Our ECSE programs are housed throughout the district with our main office at the Early Childhood Learning Center at County Road 42 and Johnny Cake Ridge Road in Apple Valley (5800 149th Street West, Apple Valley, 55124).
