At Cedar Park we are very grateful for our wonderful volunteers. They serve in many capacities and help to make our school a better place!
Arun Rao, Learning Buddy, volunteers at Cedar Park in Apple Valley two mornings a week. Arun works with third grade students on improving math skills. Arun works closely with the teachers but has become quite independent and often finds new math games, math manipulatives, and math websites, which he shares freely with the students and staff. The teacher Arun works most closely with says “We saw noticeable growth and greatly improved AVMR math test scores from the students that our grandfriend Arun Rao worked with this fall and winter. It is wonderful to have Arun work with our students!" Please go to http://www.darts1.org/generations.htm to learn more about the DARTS Learning Buddies program.
