Youth Connection Council (YCC)

Youth connecting with youth and adults in their communities — that’s YCC!  

Formed in 1989 as a result of community input, YCC is sponsored by Community Education and is composed of middle and high school students throughout District 196, as well as adults from youth-related community groups (various Parks and Recreation Departments, Dakota County, etc.)  YCC members focus on needs and issues relating to youth, serve as liaisons between Community Education Youth Services and their respective schools, advise Community Education on youth marketing as well as initiate various community service projects throughout the year.

Members meet monthly from 7-8:30 p.m. during the school year at Eastview High School.
