After School Programs
Youth Services currently offers after-school programs for students enrolled in many of the district’s elementary schools. Program fliers are distributed to students attending participating schools.
Instructor of the Quarter
Art Sarazin, third grade teacher at Pinewood Community School, has taught in Ecuador for three years and in Community Education for over 20 years. Mr. Sarazin offers many Community Education classes throughout the summer including Edison’s Invention Camps, RoboCamp, Chess: Beginning to Advanced Instruction and Play, as well as both Math and Reading Help. During the school year he teaches Book Cooks and After-School Chess: Instruction and Play. His students value him not only as their teacher, but as their friend. He is a valuable asset to the District.
