About Me
I have taught in District 196 since 1991. I currently teach Bridge to School preschool classes at Deerwood Elementary on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. My other classes are all at Rahncliff Learning Center in Eagan. There I teach ECFE classes for Toddlers, Parents and Twos, Teen Parents, and a topic class.
I have a BA in Early Childhood Development that I received from the College of St. Benedict, St. Cloud, MN. In addition I hold a pre-kindergarten teaching license and I have a Master in Education degree from St. Mary’s University, Minnesota.
I live in Apple Valley with my husband and our two children. Our son is 21 and a senior at St. John’s University where he is studying to be a social sciences teacher. Our daughter is 18 and a freshman at the College of St. Benedict. We also have 2 Shih Tzu dogs named Bella and Mia.
Philosophy
I believe that children will learn through play. Our role (as teachers and parents) is to provide experiences that allow children to learn through interactions with their peers and their environment. It is a joy to watch a child master a new skill. This could be an infant learning to walk, a toddler separating from her parent, or a preschooler learning to write his name. Learning should be fun!
