Kindergarten Plus

Kindergarten Plus (K-Plus) is an optional, fee-based, extended day program that complements half-day (free) kindergarten. The program is
a collaboration between Elementary Education, which oversees the morning kindergarten program, and Community Education, which administers the afternoon Kindergarten Plus program. Morning
and afternoon sessions are taught by a licensed kindergarten teacher, resulting in a cohesive,
all-day experience for students.

Kindergarten Plus is available to students
from all District 196 elementary schools.

2012-13 Registration Information
We are now accepting applications for the 2012-13 Kindergarten Plus program. Please submit your completed Kindergarten Plus application and $170 deposit to:

Please note: Applying for the Kindergarten Plus program does not replace registration for regular kindergarten at your elementary school. Please see the Parents' Guide to Kindergarten or contact your school for more information.

Fee Assistance
Limited financial assistance is available to district residents who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. If you wish to apply for fee assistance, you must complete the Application for Fee Assistance and provide documentation of the income amounts you list there. Income documentation can include any of the following:

• Copy of most recent year's tax form stating Adjusted Gross Income,
• Copy of most recent year's W-2 tax withholding statement, or
• Copies of three recent pay stubs that accurately represent your annual wage pattern.

These documents are due at the time you apply for Kindergarten Plus Fee Assistance.
