Youth Services Information


The Youth Connection Council (YCC) is a youth-adult advisory board that addresses issues and needs related to school-age youth in District 196. YCC meets monthly during the school year, except in December.

Youth have a special opportunity on the council to voice their school and community concerns and contribute to solving issues. Youth co-chairs provide leadership to the group and are assisted by all members.

Youth membership includes representatives from the district's secondary schools. Adult representation includes professionals who work with youth in the community, interested parents and school district personnel.
