ROSEMOUNT, Minn. – The District 196 Budget Advisory Council (BAC) will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the District Office in Rosemount, 3455 153rd St. W. As always, the public is welcome to attend.

The Sept. 12 meeting will begin with a joint meeting with members of the district Legislative Advisory Council to discuss possible legislative priorities for the 2019 session of the Minnesota Legislature. Other topics on the Sept. 12 agenda include the levy certification process and annual budget cycle, an update on the 2017-18 audit and an overview of the district’s financial direction.

The BAC advises the District 196 School Board on matters related to finance. The 12-member BAC is made up of nine parents/residents and three district employees, including a teacher, support staff representative and principal representative. The director of finance and operations and three School Board members serve as ex-officio members of the BAC.
