One District, Many Voices
Thursday, May 3, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Eastview High School
6200 140th Street West, Apple Valley

High school students from District 196, in collaboration with the Equity and Inclusion and the English Language Learner departments, are hosting an event aimed at bringing the community together.

The “One District, Many Voices” event is a reflection of the district’s mission of providing a learning environment that supports student connectedness and inclusion. Over the years, schools have held their own multicultural and multilingual events, but this year, students and staff joined forces to expand the celebration.

The event features engaging panels on social justice, equality and cultural proficiencies. Get a taste for other cultures with food from around the world, and learn more at language sharing tables. There will also be a cultural fashion show, discussions with local authors and activities for people of all ages.

The event is free, however donations will gladly be accepted. All proceeds will go directly to District 196 students to support their continued work in diversity and inclusion.

For more information, contact Rashelle Redmon at, or call 651-423-7825.

A special thanks to those contributing to the event: Mediterranean Cruise Café, Teresa’s Mexican Restaurant and Momma Rose Soul Food Catering.
