The League of Women Voters Dakota County will host a School Board candidate forum on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 7-8:30 p.m., at Rosemount City Hall, 2875 145th St. W. The forum is open to the public and will be recorded for playback on District 196 TV and available to stream on the district website.

Eight candidates are seeking election to three open seats on the board, including incumbents Art Coulson, Gary Huusko and Mike Roseen, and challengers Craig Angrimson, Brian Buechele, Rebecca Gierok, Daniel O’Neil and Bianca Ward Virnig.

The School Board election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017. District voters can vote by absentee ballot beginning Sept. 22, by early voting the week prior to the election and at their school district voting precinct on Election Day.
