Welcome back to school!

This section includes helpful resources to ensure that you and your child are ready for the first day of school.

General information

Transportation

  • Bus stop information
  • Fee-for-service transportation option
  • Bus safety for students
  • Busing for students with special needs: Specially adapted seats, support and/or protective devices are used for all students who require such devices to ensure safe transportation. These are selected in consultation with the parents on the basis of the specific needs of the student. Chaperones are assigned to supervise and assist students in transit as deemed necessary by the coordinator of transportation and/or director of special education. Drivers and chaperones are required to have in-service training in first aid and in dealing with specific needs of the children on their route. Responsibilities of parents/guardians:
    • Have the student ready to board the vehicle five minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time;
    • Movement of the student from the residence to the bus stop for pick up in the morning and from the bus stop to the residence after school, and
    • Communicate problems with special transportation to the Transportation Department at 651-423-7863. If it is determined the matter is beyond the scope of the Transportation Department, the Special Education Department will provide assistance.
