Cheryl Donely started cheering in 8th grade for basketball & football at A. T. Mahan High School in Keflavick, Iceleand. After moving back to the states, she cheered for basketball, football & competition for the award winning O'Fallon High School in O'Fallon, Illinois. Her senior year she cheered on the All-Star Cheerleading Team where 10 cheerleaders were chosen from Southern Illinois and 10 from the northern half of the state. At Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Donely cheered on the Varsity team for football, basketball and competed in the NCA National Collegiate Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Donely's coaching began with assistant coaching at Marie Shafer Junior High where they took their 8th grade team to compete in the UCA Nationals in Orlando. Donely then went on the coach Edwardsville High School's JV Football, Basketball, Soccer and Competition Cheerleading Team were then won numerous awards including 1st Place at the Americheer Regional Competition. Upon moving to Minnesota, Donely took over the responsibility of head competition cheerleading coach at Apple Valley High School, in Apple Valley Minnesota. Donely continues to coach at AVHS were they most currently won 1st Place at the SunJam Open Nationals in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Tina Van Essen started her cheerleading career at Brainerd High School in Brainerd, Minnesota. Besides cheering for Varsity Basketball and winning numerous awards for Minnesota's Best Pep Fest Contests, Van Essen participated on the Varsity Competition Cheerleading Team taking home prestigious honors including:

Building on the Brainerd team achievements, Van Essen was chosen to receive, during her 1997-1998 basketball season, the "Most Improved award" and during her 1998-1999 basketball season, the "Highest Flyer Award" and "Most Spirited." In the 1999-2000 seasons, Van Essen again brought home the "Most Spirited Award." The most prestigious personal awards were given in 2000-2001 including UPA Academic Excellence Award,
NCA All American Nominee, Most Valuable Player (Comp), Coaches Choice Award (Comp), Warrior Cheerleading's Most Valuable Cheerleader (Cheerleader of the Year).

In 2001-2003, Van Essen channeled her success as an athletic in to coaching Brainerd High School's basketball and competition cheerleaders. Van Essen joined Apple Valley High School's coaching staff in 2003 taking on the JV Competition Cheerleading team. She continues to bring success to the Apple Valley Competition Cheerleading Program.
