About Us

The ALC is a year-round alternative high school serving 14-21 year old students.  The ALC opened its doors in the fall of 1987 and is currently in its 28th year of operation.  The small size of the school (approximately 120 students and 20 staff) allows staff to develop strong working relationships with students and provide a positive educational experience.  The ALC school day is from 8:30 – 1:45 for students who are 16 or older and 7:45 – 1:45 for students who are 14 or 15.  Transportation can be arranged for students who reside within District 196 school boundaries.
