Each year 4th grade students have the opportunity to attend the optional trip to Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro, Minnesota. The fee for the trip is approximately $225.00 per student and includes bus, dorm accommodations, meals (except Friday lunch and snacks) and a t-shirt. Partial scholarships are available to any student with financial needs.

Parent informational meetings will be held on Thursday, September 25 OR Tuesday, September 30 from 6:30-7:30 PM at Thomas Lake.

Fundraising helps students reduce the out-of-pocket cost of the trip. This year students may sell cookie dough. All cookie dough profits from each student's sales go directly to that student's Eagle Bluff account.

A lottery process is used to randomly select needed chaperones. Parents may indicate their interest on the commitment form in the informational packet. Chaperones will be selected and notified in the fall of 2008. Parents who are not selected as chaperones are placed on a waiting list. Scholarship funds are not available for chaperones.

Payment Reminders
The full payment of $225.00 can be made at any time prior to January 9, 2009 OR can be paid in three installments of $75.00 on the following dates:
First payment due Friday, October 10, 2008
Second payment due Friday, November 7, 2008
Final payment due Friday, January 9, 2009

Make checks payable to Thomas Lake Elementary.  All payments should be sent to the student office, Attn: Mrs. Kolstad.

NOTE:  If full trip payment for student/chaperone is not received on/before Friday, January 9, 2009, student (and chaperone) will not be able to attend.
