School Attendance Areas
Each household in District 196 is assigned to an elementary school, middle school and high school attendance area. Students attend the school in the attendance area where they live or may apply to transfer to a different school in the district, if space is available.
To determine which school attendance areas a household is located in, check the elementary school, middle school and high school attendance-area maps or use our School Attendance Area Locator. Enter the house number (without the street name) in the address field, select the city from the pulldown, click search and then select the address. The results will show which elementary school, middle school and high school are assigned to that address.
The elementary school attendance areas will change in the 2017-18 school year with the opening of a new elementary school. To search attendance areas for 2017-18, click here.
