Dakota United adapted soccer team wins state title |

The Dakota United Hawks won the state championship in the cognitively impaired (CI) division of the adapted soccer state tournament Nov. 17 at Stillwater High School. The Hawks outscored their opponents 21-3 in the three games of the state tournament. The Dakota United physically impaired (PI) team finished runner-up in their state tournament.
Members of the CI state championship team are Bobby Ginther, Ben Harmon, Hunter Patrick and Joe Sandey of Apple Valley High School; Carl Fagre and Tyler Lupie-Voss of Eagan High School; Travis Marsh and Zach Wagner of Eastview High School; Ricky Arends, Andrew Brankley and Kennard Lyles of Rosemount High School, and Emma Roiger of Scott Highlands Middle School. The head coach of the CI team is Tom Grothe and assistant coaches are Jenna Williams, Jill Ratts and Mary Hautman. |
